During the most pedestrian tasks she was prone to such heated daydreaming that the effect was sometimes disastrous.

ALL FIRED UP
She approached her nightly reading with fevered intensity, searing the stories into her brain and reducing the pages to a whisper of ash.

AN OLD FLAME
The flowers he sent were a brilliant jumble of color and promise, provoking smoldering thoughts that yanked her back to reality.
